Video tutorials like “How to handle laser fire” or discussions like “My CO2 laser machine caught fire” on Reddit and other forums are just the tip of the iceberg. The problem goes deeper, and Wattsan took that dive to present a solution.

Our engineers created the Wattsan SAS, or Safety Assurance System. It includes:

● Wattsan FOX system. It monitors everything that's happening in the working area and, if even the smallest ignition appears, will let out a loud signalization that can be heard in any corner of the production.

● Anodized laser head. Helps to exclude the possibility of laser firing back, as well as protects the head from overheating or corrosion.

● The lid is made from tempered certificated glass, not plastic. Glass slows down the fire spread, unlike plastic, which would just start melting itself and emit harmful vapors.

● Also, enhanced airflow system: engineers constructed it to admit air faster, due to which the extraction system works more effectively.

● Special sealant that is placed between the lid and body. It contains gases and smoke inside.

● An indicator light on the upper panel of the machine will show whether something is wrong with the machine or whether it is working in a stable condition from afar.

With this system, you can be sure that your workshop or factory will stay safe and you will not appear in the news with a title “Local production caught fire.”

Firstly, there are new mounts for the tube and mirrors. With them you can now replace the tube in just 3 minutes and complete the alignment in less than 10 minutes.

Secondly, a beam combiner was installed on the first mirror. It creates a red dot that shows the positioning of the working beam.

Thirdly, the laser head is now adjustable by the Z-axis, which makes focusing and preparations for cutting and engraving materials with different thicknesses way easier.

A new HVU unit provides more stable work of the laser tube, extending its service life by up to 35%, as we tested. It also reduces energy consumption by 20% while maintaining power.

Additionally, it has a new potentiometer with a digital milliammeter. Unlike the outdated analog version with the pointer, this one allows adjusting power with an accuracy of 0.001 A. Thus, cutting and engraving of sensible materials, for example, jean cloth, will be easier and risk-free.

Updates to the movement system運動系統(tǒng)的更新

Previously, CO2 laser cutters had an open-type gantry. Now, it’s closed; belts and guides are hidden inside the housing. That protects all components from dirt and carbon deposits and consequently increases their service life and decreases the time and amount of needed maintenance checks.

Two-phase stepper motors are also changed for the three-phase ones. The new motors with smaller steps make movements smoother and improve engraving quality. Their speed, by the way, is up to 500 mm/sec.

The gearbox is now with reinforced mountings. It has a ? ratio, which provides micro-division of the step. That three times reduces the loads implemented on the motors and increases the positioning accuracy even when processing complicated layouts.

All of the updated machines have a Ruida controller RDC8445S. This is the latest model from the company, and it has everything to help your production take a step towards the IoT (Internet of Things).

● The controller has a built-in Wi-Fi module to create its own network.

● Now, you can monitor everything and adjust settings remotely. It’s possible to do via computer or even phone.

● Sharing and exchanging files is three times faster than prior controller models.

● Memory was increased from 128 Mb to 1 Gb.

● You can control several pieces of equipment, like laser CO2 machines and markers, from one program, optimizing production.

Design changes 設計變更

We also changed the appearance of machines to make them more modern and ergonomic. For that:

● The corners were rounded.

● Turn-on and turn-off buttons were replaced for more convenient and durable ones. Also, buttons for a lifting table are now from tenacious alloy and are recessed in the body. No more accidental presses!

● The handle is bigger now and provides a comfortable grip. By the way, it is mounted inside the lid when the machine is shipped to avoid any damage.

We have already started the production of these machines and sent some of them to our dealers. The renewed series of classical CO2 laser equipment is available for purchase.
